At this time of year, we recognize the children who are completing their three year casa cycle. In a child’s sixth year, they make the leap into the next plane of development and their environment changes to reflect a very different set of developmental needs. We are delighted that all four graduates will join us in the elementary room next September but for now, we pause to honour the point of arrival in this most fundamental journey they have taken through the sensorial period of early childhood. This afternoon, we attended a Young Artists Spotlight at the Canadian Opera Company where we heard chamber musicians perform a beautiful trio of Beethoven, Brahams and Ravel. Afterward, we went to Terroni for lunch and put all those practical life and grace and courtesy skills to work. They did themselves (and their teachers) proud…and had some fun too.
