Colouring In

This week and next we will having working sessions with illustrator Francis Blake. The children were enthralled this week as Francis explained what an illustrator does and how illustration is used to draw deeper meaning out of text. He showed his portfolio and sat down to draw with them for an hour afterward, showing them that it is so much more than “colourin in” as he describes it. At the end, the children were each given a signed black and white drawing to take home.
