Magic Story Dice

The children wrote a story as a group using the Fairy Dice. Each child rolled a die and related a part of the story based on the image they found there. They assembled the story in a chronological order and drew the pictures to go along with it. They memorized their lines, developed voices for the characters and discussed the different parts of the story: setting, plot, action, denouement and moral. A freezing rain recess allowed us to finish up the project and here is the result.
Once Upon a Time…There lived a hawk who belonged to a Princess. They lived in a castle. Nearby was a magic invisible tree. The Princess kept a jar of multi-coloured four leaf clovers, one of which was magic. Hidden in the tree was a magic wand which if you tapped it three times just like this <tap><tap><tap> it turned into a magic broomstick that could take you anywhere in the world you want to go.
