A Moment for Remembrance and Peace in High Park

This morning we went to High Park for our biweekly biology lesson. We noticed the significant changes in the landscape and the behaviour of the animals throughout the park. Before we got on the streetcar, we stopped at “the storytelling spot” in the forest near the College streetcar loop. One of our students has memorised and recited In Flanders Fields then we spent a moment in silence and threw wishes for peace (pine cones) into the trees. At the end of the day, they decorated the office door with poppies and the word peace in multiple languages and alphabets.
